Peter’s 2009 BMW 335xi

Introduction:

Referred to as “The Shark”, Peter’s 335xi is a gorgeous build that stood out amongst hundreds of BMW submissions in our 2016 Virtual Car Show. With many modifications, this car is a very unique build among other 335xi builds out there.

Pete’s Story:

“The Shark” is a 2009 BMW 335xi that has been through many different iterations. Originally, the car came pretty basic with just the navigation and sports package. Since then it’s seen 4 sets of wheels, three front bumpers, three custom headlight builds, two custom steering wheels, and about 4-5 exhausts to get to where it is today. As of right now, it’s got about 83k miles on the car and 42k on the engine (replaced last summer). This car is my daily driver, yet extremely powerful/fun. A few weeks ago it set the 335xi World Record for HP coming in at 683AWHP and 675AWTQ. This is thanks to the doc race turbo kit paired with the pure turbos 6266 and tuning by TwistedTuning out in CT. The car has a custom 1m front bumper from LTMW, steering wheel from Latvia, headlights from OSS Designs in Miami FL, and exhaust from CCM auto in Port Chester NY to name a few. Almost everything has been replaced from the gauge faces/needles all the way to the turbos. It’s been featured on a few different companies websites, social media, etc but the most notable was being posted on BMW NA’s Facebook/Instagram a couple years ago. The car is a blast to drive and when going WOT sounds insane with the external waste gates. There’s still more room to push this turbo/tuning, however, I’m enjoying it as-is right now and don’t want to be replacing drivetrain components anytime soon.
