On Friday at 11:59 PM ET, our Virtual Car Show 2021 entry period ended. We’ve received an incredible amount of your entries for the four categories; Bagged Fitment, Static Fitment, Daily Driver, and Oddball. This is our fourth year hosting a Virtual Car Show, but marks the first year we’ve offered a specific category for non-European vehicles. All we can say is ‘wow.’ The quality of builds you have all brought to the table are astounding, as is the variety of those builds. We can’t wait to show you all this week during our celebrity guest judging panel, which is what this week’s Tuned In Weekly is all about.
Whether you’ve entered for a shot at the $1,000 best-of-show award or not, we invite you to tune in with us this Friday when we drop the guest judging video. We’ll be joined by Race Chip, our lovely partner for this event, as well as some surprise guests you might recognize from the automotive content community. Together, along with some of our in-house judging experts, you’ll find out who our finalists are and have a chance to see the best of the best that entered for each category.
Here’s how it will work:
We’ve narrowed down all the entries to the top contenders for each category. During our celebrity guest judging panel, we’ll review each car and everyone will assign it a score between 1 and 10. The average of all the scores will be the final score, which will provide us with the top four finalists in each category.
Once we have our final sixteen highest-scoring builds, that’s when we’ll open everything up to the community. Beginning Tuesday, May 18th, we’ll upload the semi-finalists for live voting on our social media page in bracket form. From there, you, the audience, will narrow down our finalists and then select them for the best of each category.
Finally, with the top builds from each category, you’ll once again be in control of the Best-Of-Show award. Our final four will go head-to-head for a shot at the additional $500 where you’ll pick your favorite build from the whole Virtual Car Show 2021.
With that, we invite you to tune in Friday May 14th at 6:00 PM EST for the official celebrity judging round and then participate in the audience judging to find out who has the hottest build on the internet in our Virtual Car Show 2021.
